Our Delhi Mala is made out of black rhodochrosite stones strung throughout the necklace. The rope chain which connects each of the 108 stones matches the color of the black tassel and also contains an 8mm rhodochrosite stone positioned at the bottom of the necklace.
This model is named after The City of Delhi in India located in the north of the country close to the Himalayas. It's black rhodochrosite stones are associated with the rose, the symbol of love which is traced all the way back to the Incas who called the stone 'Inca Rose'. According to legend, these pink gems were formed from the blood of their kings and queens.
