This model is named after The Montecristo Cloud Forest in El Salvador within Central America. The forest was the first protected area in El Salvador and is famous for its trees which reach the clouds, some being as tall as 30 meters. Twenty two percent, or 53 species, of the forest's bird species are endangered here
