Our Caledonia Sunglasses are distinct in their placement of acetate within the frames. The acetate covers the majority of the lower part of the frame without encroaching on the brow bar and bridge. The acetate provides a matte finish and the lenses come in dark black or gold. The ear pieces are also made out of acetate and provide for a comfortable fit.
This model is named after The New Caledonia Barrier Reef located off the northeast coast of Australia. The reef is the longest continuous and second largest barrier reef in the world after the Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
It is home to the world's third largest population of dugong, the last remaining marine mammal that eats strictly plants, and has one of the worlds largest lagoons. The reef is world renowned for its exceptional natural beauty, rich biodiversity and remarkable coral reefs.
*Plant-Based Acetate is made up of a biopolymer derived from Wood Pulp and Natural Cotton Fibers. The material is known for it's lightweight thin construction and strength while remaining flexible. Acetate does not harm the environment, is eco-friendly, is hypoallergenic, and is made from renewable materials.
